| Insurance
All
Damage Cover is forfeited if:
-
the terms and conditions of the rental contract are breached
-
the hirer is then responsible for the total costs of any
damage
-
the vehicle is submersed in or damaged by water or salt
water
-
driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and on
restricted roads
-
willful damage such as standing or sitting on the vehicle's
roof or bonnet is strictly prohibited and is at the hirers
The
hirer is responsible for any recovery costs that may occur if
the vehicle becomes bogged or stranded caused by driver error
regardless of the insurance excess / level of cover
Excess
This
is the amount payable for any damage caused to the vehicle regardless
of cause.
Driver
License & age qualifications
We
recognise all the current Non-provisional Australian Licenses.
Overseas visitors may use recognised current licences issued by
their country of residence or an international driver's permit.
We do not rent to drivers under 25 years of age.
Deposit/bond
payment
Reservations
are confirmed by the payment of an advance deposit of 20% of the
rental costs. The full amount due for the rental period booked
is payable prior to commencement of rental by cash, bank and traveller's
cheques or major credit cards. Personal cheques are not acceptable
unless lodged with us 14 days prior to departure. Bond must be
paid by credit card.
Credit
& credit cards
We
welcomes major credit cards - Bankcard, Mastercard and Visa.
Government
stamp duty/taxes
A
1.5% State Government Stamp Duty Tax applies to all Rental Agreements.
This tax is not included in our rates. GST is included in rates
for all rentals.
Limitations
of use
It
is a condition of the Rental Agreement that vehicles cannot be
driven in certain areas of Australia. For your own protection,
please ask.
4WD
Campers may only travel to the following areas with a written
permission: Simpson Desert, Strzelecki Track, Gunbarrel Highway,
Cape York, the Bungle Bungles, Oonadatta Track, Birdsville Track,
Tanami Track and the Gibb River Road. Permission being granted
is subject to weather conditions.The distance to nominated destinations
in relation to the length of the hire period will also be considered.
Our vehicles are not permitted on the Canning Stock Route, the
Lost City in Lichfield Park and the Telegraph Road section of
the road to Cape York.
We
reserve the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements
in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions and
the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length
of the hire period.
24-hour
roadside assistance
We
provide 24hr roadside assistance in the unlikely event of a breakdown.
Any problems associated with the vehicle, including equipment
failure must be reported to us as soon as possible, and within
24 hours in order to give us the opportunity to rectify the problem
during the rental. Failure to do so will compromise any claims
for compensation. We will not accept liability for any claims

Petrol
& LP Gas
We
remind you that the cost of petrol is not included in our rates.
However, a complimentary bottle of LP Gas is provided in all vehicles.
Availability
Should
circumstances beyond our control cause the required vehicle to
be unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of
similar or better standard. In the event an alternative vehicle
is unavailable, our liability is limited to the return of all
the monies paid.
Collection
& Return
Vehicles
must be collected from and returned to our premises during office
hours (Weekdays 8.30am-5pm and Saturdays 8.30-12noon)
One-Way
rentals
By
negotiation. Please ask.
Cancellation
& early returns
Deposit
paid for advance bookings liable to be forfeited unless notice
is given at least 30 days in advance. No refund or unused rental
is allowable if the vehicle is returned prematurely.
Late
returns
Should
the vehicle be required for additional time, permission must be
granted from the originating office at least 7 days prior. Unauthorised
late returns are charged at double the daily rate applicable.
Rates/terms/conditions
Are
subject to change without notice.
Liability
BikeRoundOz, its Agents, Assigns and Contractors accept no responsibility
for and shall not be liable in respect of any loss, damage, alterations,
delays or changes arising from circumstances outside its or its
Contractors' control, such as, but not solely, war or threat of
war, riot, industrial dispute, civil strife, fire, adverse weather
conditions, terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disaster,
technical transport problems, computer malfunction, cancellation
of scheduled or charter airlines, closure or congestion of airports
or ports, or financial failure of Contractors or depots. On occasions
BikeRoundOz is acting as an information and booking resource for
vetted suppliers. Your contract is with the supplier directly
and BikeRoundOz accepts no responsibility for and shall not be
liable in respect of any loss or damage whatsoever.
